SLPs told us their scheduling reality: grouping kids, protecting grade-level lunch and specials, avoiding conflicts with OT and counseling, redoing everything when a new IEP lands. SwiftIEP was built from those exact complaints.
Set your blocked times once โ lunches, specials, protected classes, per grade. The grid shows you exactly where a session CAN go, in green. No more mental cross-checking.
Tag students who can be seen together. Click a session to add a student to the group โ size limits enforced automatically.
Add the new student and every open compatible slot lights up. Assemblies moved your Tuesday? Move a session and see valid new times instantly.
Every student shows scheduled vs. IEP-mandated minutes. Who's short and by how much is visible at a glance โ before it becomes a compliance finding.
Click a session, pick goal area + performance + prompt level, add one line โ get a clean, formatted progress note copied to your clipboard.
One click prints a clean weekly schedule for your door, your binder, or your principal.
Initials, grade, IEP minutes per week, session length. Two minutes per student, once a year.
Lunches, specials, protected blocks โ by grade. This is what makes every suggestion conflict-free.
Pick a student, see every valid time light up, click to place. The whole caseload, scheduled in an afternoon.
SwiftIEP is local-first: everything lives on your computer, in your browser. There is no server, no account, no student database to breach.
The app is designed around initials โ full names never asked, never needed.
Nothing is uploaded. We couldn't see your students if we wanted to. FERPA-friendly by architecture, not by promise.
Export a backup file anytime โ move it between school and home computers freely.
Free while in beta. After launch:

No. SwiftIEP is a website that stores data only on your own computer โ like a fancy spreadsheet. There's nothing for IT to install or approve, and no student data transmission for a district to review.
Data lives in your browser's local storage, so export a backup file (one click) regularly. Import it on any computer to restore everything.
Not yet. Today it does scheduling + session progress notes. IEP-adjacent documentation is on the roadmap โ beta members vote on what's next.
Nothing stops you โ blocked times and minutes work the same way. The note templates are SLP-flavored for now; OT templates are next if you ask for them.
